New Lane
Street guide, Havant
New Lane runs east from Havant town centre through the Denvilles area towards the Emsworth boundary. The lane is one of the main routes through the eastern side of Havant, carrying local traffic and providing access to the residential streets on either side. The character is suburban, with a mix of Victorian, Edwardian and inter-war properties alongside later development. New Lane passes through one of the more desirable parts of Havant, with the Denvilles area on its southern side known for its comfortable housing and tree-lined streets. The lane connects to Elm Lane, Dunhurst Lane and other residential streets, and provides a route to the A27 via side roads. Shops at the Denvilles end serve the local community with everyday needs.
