Langstone Road connects Havant town centre to the hamlet of Langstone on the harbour shore. The road runs south-west from the town, passing through residential areas before reaching the waterfront at Langstone. The journey along Langstone Road takes you from the suburban streets of Havant to the open, windswept shore of Langstone Harbour within a mile. The road is well used by walkers and cyclists heading for the harbour, the Billy Trail and the Royal Oak pub at Langstone. The roadside verges and the open ground near the harbour provide views across the water to Hayling Island. Langstone Road is both a practical residential street and a route to one of Havant's most atmospheric destinations.
