Bedhampton Road
Street guide, Havant
Bedhampton Road is the principal route through the Bedhampton area, connecting Havant to the western parts of the borough. The road passes the old village core of Bedhampton, with St Thomas Church and the historic springs nearby. The street has a mixed character, with some older buildings near the village centre and more modern residential and light commercial development further along. The road carries through traffic and is one of the busier routes in the area. The Bedhampton springs, which have been a water source since at least Roman times, are close to the road. Bedhampton Road serves as both a local high street for the Bedhampton community and a through route towards Cosham and the western parts of the Portsmouth conurbation.
