Brockhampton
Quiet mid-century residential area between the town centre and the A27, with good road connections and a settled suburban feel.
Brockhampton is a residential area to the north-east of Havant town centre, lying between the town and the A27 dual carriageway. The area was largely developed in the mid-twentieth century with a mix of semi-detached houses, bungalows and some detached properties. Brockhampton Lane is the principal street, running north from the town centre towards the bypass. The area has a quiet, residential character with mature gardens and established trees giving the streets a settled feel. Brockhampton is well placed for access to the A27, making it practical for commuters heading towards Chichester, Portsmouth or the A3(M) junction at Horndean. The area lacks the historic interest of Warblington or the waterside setting of Langstone, but it provides solid, comfortable housing at prices that are generally reasonable by Havant standards. Local amenities are limited, with residents relying on the town centre for most shopping and services. The green spaces of Staunton Country Park are accessible to the north-east.
